Ghosts of Sound is the title of the second book from The Panharmonion Chronicles graphic novel series by Henry Chebaane. Ghosts of Sound is also the title of a song written by the same author, who occasionally produces EDM music under the alias LX8.

Ghosts of Sound is now also this online blog, a periodical digital publication of sort. Its content will evolve with what each contributor writes about, and the feedback of readers, as we move slowly towards building a community of thinkers to entice our humanity to make a better world.

Our initial purpose here, is to post reviews, and discuss about the transformative power of art, not exclusively, but especially with regards to sound, music, poetry, song and dance. why? because sound is e-motion: energy in motion. Sound makes us feel and want to move. Although humans are animals that have evolved to prioritise vision above all other senses, sound seems to reach and influence our body and mind on a much deeper, truer level. So, we can talk also about life, consciousness and quantum physics because…why not?

Sound is wave – a vibration of molecules though a substance: liquid, gas, or solid. The sound waves are the manifestation of encoded information through visual symbols: music notes, letters and numbers. Sound waves can transport us through time and space. They can transmit meaning, learning, intent, and purpose in ways that no other vectors can.

Sound seems like an aberration of our reality: a fleeting wave that decay within a moment, yet it is also a potent universal force on our planet, that carries the memories of our past and echoes of our future.

Such a powerful force sits deep within each of us, in the ghosts of our genetic and collective memory. Maybe, this is the reason why throughout our world’s history, sound and writing have often been repressed and controlled through ignorance, delusion, self-censorship, social compliance, religious dogma and political agenda.

The above are some of the many themes evoked in the fiction series The Panharmonion Chronicles, published by Supanova Media, which itself has already sparked many conversations and we hope will do for a long time to come.

There are many platforms that already provide an outlet for enlightment and unheard human voices but they are still vastly outnumbred by the platforms that seek the opposite: to repress, deny, obliviate humanist enlightment in favour of maximum resource extraction and exploitation of living beings on our home planet. So, if this resonates with you, this modest medium will seek to add one more spark to the many humans (no Ai here) who want to light the dark.
